I love to paint many natural subjects, including landscapes, riverbeds, wildlife and portraits. I studied Art and Illustration at Brigham Young University where I received a BFA degree in 1997. My style is realistic, but I enjoy working on large canvases and employing more loose brushwork or using the pallet knife. Rivers, shorelines, and ocean waves are a subject that I come back to a lot. Water is captivating, and I also enjoy the interesting shapes, colors and textures of rocks, and the compositions that are created in natural environments.
